Who or what is Maltix?

Maltix is a subscription-based tech company that's all about Dynamic QR and Progressive Web Apps (PWA). We're making it clear that the future of business is on smartphones.

With QR codes, we offer solutions for various business challenges while prioritising data protection. It's like a direct line to your customers' devices. Plus, we've got smart forms that collect and manage data professionally, all through subscription plans with real human support. QR codes are reviving print media and work lightning-fast from one phone to another or for payments.

What sets Maltix apart is our rejection of traditional website hassles like WordPress, domain hosting fees, and the Google Business grind. We've embraced PWAs, which are super affordable, making traditional websites unnecessary.

This means small businesses don't have to splurge on Google ads, SEO, or app stores. Instead, they can create a user-friendly experience for phone users with real support. It's all about streamlining and making life easier for businesses.

What is a PWA?

A progressive web app (PWA) is an app that's built using web platform technologies, but that provides a user experience like that of a platform-specific app. Like a website, a PWA can run on multiple platforms and devices from a single codebase.

QR Codes

What is a QR Code?

The idea behind a QR code is an image that can be scanned by any modern day Smartphone (with a QR code reader application). QR codes are often used to contain web address information and links, but they can be used to direct Smartphone users to a multitude of other media too (e.g. virtual business cards, videos, images etc).

What actually is the point of a QR code? Surely you can just type in a web address on your phone and visit the website that way? The point of a QR code is to simplify the process. Smartphone (or tablet PC) keyboards are tricky compared to desktop/laptop keyboards and most of the time, people simply can't be bothered to type in website addresses on their Smartphone.

A QR code is used by marketers to simplify the process and therefore, entice more people into visiting a website or a piece of content.

What is the difference between a static or dynamic QR Code?

Static QR Codes, like Email or Text QR Codes, cannot be edited after printing and do not collect scan statistics.

Dynamic QR Codes can be edited even after being printed. This means you can change both the function and content of a Dynamic QR Code at any time and as often as you would like. Dynamic QR Codes use a short URL (l.ead.me/, for example) that redirects users to your desired landing page. This allows for the collection of scan statistics—including the number of scans, the date, time, and location of a scan, as well as what operating system was used.
