William Nicholls is a serial entrepreneur, business recovery expert, and the visionary founder driving Maltix, a pioneer in simplifying digital tech for small businesses and family firms. With decades of experience across diverse industries—spanning agricultural and veterinary science, heavy logistics, and master franchising—William has built a career on spotting major market shifts before they happen.
The Journey to Maltix
William’s entrepreneurial path began with formal qualifications in Agricultural Science, managing large-scale farming operations in the 1980s. He later founded a fruit and vegetable distribution network in Bristol, managing a commercial fleet and famously handling the logistics for the Glastonbury Festival, serving hundreds of thousands of people under high-pressure conditions.
In the mid1990s, recognising the inevitable rise of the internet, William pivoted into digital technology. As a Master Franchisor for World Sites, now called WSI he successfully built and collaboratively managed a network of over 80 consultants across the UK.
Rewriting the Digital Rules
Maltix is the culmination of William’s deep, self-directed research into modern marketplace interactions. Seeing how standard websites and corporate tech platforms create headaches, data privacy issues, and high costs for smaller business owners, he set out to humanise technology again.
Under his leadership, Maltix has evolved into a robust ecosystem that blends the physical and digital worlds seamlessly. By combining lean, lightning-fast Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) with dynamic QR and Networking technology with a trained & dedicated human virtual assistant support (Lares), Maltix helps business owners cut out the noise, escape the data-harvesting of Big Tech, and truly own their data.
Leadership Philosophy
William brings extensive board-level experience and data management expertise to the table. He believes that a business's future value is directly tied to its smartphone customer service ethic and secure database management.
