Not Getting Notifications? Here is the fix.To ensure you receive real-time updates, document releases, and alerts from our Maltix Apps, please follow these steps.

Step 1: You Must "Add to Home Screen" (Most Common Fix) Web Apps (PWAs) work best when they live on your phone screen, not just in your browser. Especially for iPhone users, notifications will NOT work unless the app is added to your home screen.
  • 📱 For iPhone (iOS):
    1. Open the link in Safari (this generally does not work in Chrome on iPhone).
    2. Tap the Share icon (the square with an arrow pointing up) at the bottom of the screen.
    3. Scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen."
    4. Tap "Add" in the top right corner.
    5. Open the app from your new home screen icon to trigger the notification permission.
  • 🤖 For Android:
    1. Open the link in Chrome.
    2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner.
    3. Tap "Install App" or "Add to Home Screen."
    4. Follow the prompts to install.
Step 2: Check Your Permissions Once you open the app from your home screen, you should see a popup asking to send notifications.
  • If you see the popup: Tap Allow.
  • If you accidentally tapped "Block" or "Not Now":
    • iPhone: Go to Settings > Notifications. Scroll down to find the name of our Web App and ensure "Allow Notifications" is toggled ON.
    • Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Find our App > Notifications > Toggle ON.
Step 3: Check Your Software Version (iPhone Only) If you have an older iPhone, you might be running an outdated operating system that does not support Web App notifications.
  • Go to Settings > General > About.
  • Check "iOS Version." You need iOS 16.4 or newer to receive push notifications.

Summary Checklist for Registrants

If a registrant complains they are not receiving notifications, it is usually due to one of these three reasons:

  1. Not Installed: They are viewing the PWA in a browser tab (Safari/Chrome) rather than from the Home Screen icon.
  2. Permission Denied: They clicked "Block" or "Not Now" on the initial permission popup.
  3. iOS Version: They are on an older iPhone (iOS versions older than 16.4 have poor support for PWA web push).
