Promote your business

Step 1 – Advertise your app to your network and on social media channels

A great place to start is with your own business and personal networks through email or on your profiles on social media channels like Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and YouTube. Here are some things to consider.

Start with posts on your own social media pages.

Join relevant groups on channels like Facebook and Linkedin.

Promote your app in relevant subreddits on Reddit. Communities on Reddit are often very active and would likely be receptive to trying your app.

If you are still looking for a wider reach and more exposure for your app, consider a budget for paid ads on Facebook, Google, Linkedin, or YouTube.

Step 2 – Write SEO Blog articles via your TAWK doc creator

Link to your app on your website and write well-optimised blog articles on a subject that is relevant to your app.

Blogging can be a great way to market any product. Apps can be instantly downloaded whereas other products must be ordered and shipped before they can be used, making the customer journey from reading a blog article to downloading the app and becoming an active user more direct.

Step 3 – Creating video introductions

To increase interest in your app, create an introduction video where you display some of the key features of the app and include a link to download the app in the video. Maltix recommended

Step 4 – Submit articles to well-known tech blogs that already have millions of readers

Starting your own blog (as discussed in Step 2) is a great way to draw more traffic to your website and promote your app to a wider audience. However, growing an audience for your blog takes time. So, in addition to your own blog, to instantly reach millions of readers and potential app users, try submitting a guest blog article to well-known tech blogs and publications like TechCrunch or  Hacker Noon.

Step 5 – Develop a referral program / prize giveaway

Advertise it on your website and social media.

Create an incentive for early app users to promote your app on their own channels and in their communities by creating a referral program and advertising it on your website and social channels. This could be, for example, first access to the next app you build for users who convince 15 others to download your app. Or you could give prizes to users who share your app with friends or post about your app on social media.

There could be a place for new users to list the person who referred them or how they discovered your app so you could keep track of this.

Step 6 – Get your app featured on an app discovery platform like MagicSolver

With so many new apps being posted to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store every day, it can be difficult (Maltix CEO says nearly impossible) to get noticed. That’s why app discovery platforms like MagicSolver can be a great way to promote your app to many more people who may not have discovered it otherwise. You can submit your app to be featured by MagicSolver here.

App discovery platforms can help you separate your app from the thousands of other apps that debut on the app stores every day. App discovery platforms are usually websites where potential users go to “discover” or read about the latest apps. So, people who are using app discovery platforms are already looking for an app to download.

Step 7 – Ask early users to review your app on popular app review sites

Many potential app users read reviews of apps before making a decision about which apps to download. By asking early users to review your app, you can gain positive reviews that will help convince others to download your app as well.

There are many popular app review sites like TechCrunch and MobileAppDaily and you can submit your app to be reviewed on any of them. Ask early users of your app to write a review on one or more of these sites. Here is a list of some more popular app review sites.

Step 8 – Share your app on Product Hunt

ProductHunt is where people go to find the best new products in tech. Product Hunt includes a section designated for apps.

Add your app to the list on Product Hunt and see if people vote for your app. If your app reaches the top of the list, you can advertise this to potential users to get more downloads.

Step 9 – Consider submitting your app to more app stores

Google Play and the Apple App Store are not the only places where you can submit your app. Consider also submitting to app stores like Amazon App Store and AppBrain.

Step 10 – Apply for App Awards

There are many different app awards and submitting your app for consideration (and of course winning the awards) can provide tons of exposure for your app.

Here are some of the most well-known app awards:

Appy Awards

Best App Ever Awards

The Webby Awards

Best Mobile App Awards
