Maltix Privacy Policy This policy outlines how Maltix Ltd manages your personal information in compliance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018).
1. Data Collection and Usage We collect information directly from you when you purchase services, create an account, or interact with our digital tools.
  • Types of Data: Identity (name/VAT), Transactional (payment history), Technical (IP address), and Usage (interaction with our PWAs).
  • Legal Basis: We process data to fulfil our Contract with you, for Legitimate Interests (improving services), to comply with Legal Obligations, or based on your Consent.
2. Specialized Digital Services
  • Aurora eCard Facility: When using the Aurora eCard system, any personal data or contact information shared to facilitate digital business card exchange is processed strictly to provide this service.
  • TAWK Knowledge Base: Our support infrastructure utilizes the TAWK platform. Information submitted via the knowledge base or live chat is used to resolve your queries and improve our support documentation.
  • Lares Virtual Assistants: These independent contractors require specific app permissions (e.g., push notifications) to perform services. By authorising them, you give explicit consent, which you can withdraw via app settings.
3. "Join the Tribe" Community When you voluntarily join the Tribe, certain profile details (name/activity) may be visible to other registered members to foster a collaborative environment.
  • Member Control: You have 100% control over your profile and notifications. You can opt-in or out of push notifications at any time via the "burger bar" menu (top right) on any QR Site.
  • Email Privacy: Your email is used for essential account management and community updates. We do not sell or rent your email to third parties.
4. Data Security and Retention We use robust technical measures to prevent unauthorised access. Your data is only kept for as long as necessary to fulfil service requirements or satisfy legal, accounting, and reporting duties.
5. Your Legal Rights Under the DPA 2018, you have the right to:
  • Access and receive a copy of your data.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Erase your data (the "right to be forgotten") in specific circumstances.
  • Object to or Restrict processing.
  • Withdraw Consent at any time.

We aim to resolve all complaints independently within 3 days via our internal complaints department. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

Privacy Policy - "Join the Tribe" & Your Data

At Maltix, we value your privacy and transparency in how your data is used within our "Join the Tribe" community.

Voluntary Data Submission and Community Sharing: When you choose to "Join the Tribe" on a Maltix QR Site, you voluntarily provide your data (e.g., name, email address, and any other information requested during registration). By registering, you understand and agree that certain aspects of your profile data, such as your name, profile picture (if uploaded), and any shared activity within community features (e.g., public comments on events or news posts), may be visible to other registered Tribe Members within the Tribe Members' private area. This sharing is designed to foster a collaborative and connected community experience.


Your Control Over Notifications: You retain 100% control over your notification preferences. Within your Tribe Member's account settings, you can easily manage and opt-in or opt-out of in-app notifications and push notifications at any time.


Email Communication & Privacy: By joining the Tribe, your email address is used for essential account management and, based on your notification preferences, for direct communication regarding Tribe activities (Events, Surveys, Documents, News). 


Your email address is shared with other individual Tribe Members within the Tribe Members' screen. All email-based push communication to the Tribe is managed by the Maltix QR Site administrator, adhering strictly to the broader Maltix Privacy Policy We do not sell or rent your email address to third parties for their marketing purposes.


Maltix Tribe registrants have complete control of their profile by logging into the burger bar area (Top right ) on every QR Site 


Data Security: Maltix is committed to protecting your data. We implement reasonable security measures to safeguard your information from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
